Network workshop Streets are for everyone
Initiating change with creative local actions
More than 125,000 people took part in the “Streets are for everyone” action weeks in May 2025.
In over 550 locations and around 20 countries – from villages to large cities – families, children, and activists took to the streets with colorful Kidical Mass bike demonstrations, school street actions, bike buses/bicibus, and many other activities.
Their message is clear: Streets must finally be designed with children’s needs in mind – for safe routes to school, livable places, and mobility for all generations.

About the Kidical Mass action alliance:
Kidical Mass is a global movement. With activities such as bike demonstrations, school streets, and bike buses, the action alliance campaigns for safe and livable streets—for children and all generations. In spring 2025 alone, over 125,000 people took part in more than 550 locations as part of the action weeks. At the heart of the movement are over 1,000 local organizations and initiatives – decentralized, self-organized, and strong together. The alliance is supported by national partners such as ADFC, Campact, Changing Cities, Clean Cities Campaign, Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk, Greenpeace, Parents For Future, Pro Velo Switzerland, VCD, and Zukunft Fahrrad.
